Volunteering:

Volunteers have for many years been vital to the running of The Centre. From fundraising, helping with the buildings and grounds maintenance, to office work and providing a welcoming service in the Café Bar or helping with tickets in the cinema.

Each volunteer’s contribution is valued immensely and makes such a difference to what we do.

Work Experience and Internships:

We are often joined by school pupils on work experience and university students on placement as part of their course. We also work with Chichester Job Centre and HMP Ford to provide supported employment opportunities.

Donor Board (3) at New Park Centre.JPG

A big thank you

Our gratitude also goes to all the individuals and organisations who have supported us throughout the years. Their generosity in time given freely, sponsorship monies or grants and legacies are so greatly appreciated.

The Donor Board recognises the important contribution from numerous individuals who have each given over 1,000 hours of their time. Alongside these names, you will find details of organisations from the business community who have awarded grants and made donations throughout the decades to help to maintain services, trial new

projects and update facilities.

Community

Many of our community projects are inspired by the organisations and individuals here at New Park Centre.

We offer unique spaces and special rates for artists involved in the Festival of Chichester and Chichester Open Studios (formerly Chichester Art Trail).

We’re often involved in local cultural and educational partnerships e.g. Chichester Festival Theatre / Goodwood / Chichester University / local businesses.

Richmond Fellowship Mosiac 2024 (12).JPG

The Mosaic was created in 2014-2015. This partnership between mental health charity, Richmond Fellowship and The Association originated a year earlier when people made small, personal mosaics, before progressing to a year-long venture to craft an image of the Victorian School building. Based on an original painting created specifically by Andrew Thompson, the mosaic took over 450 hours to complete.

The Mosaic makers said:

‘The sessions have given me a sense of purpose and achievement’

‘I left with new friendships and valuable memories’
