A Festive Evening of Song to Help
“RAISE THE ROOF”
If you’re looking for a magical way to start your Christmas celebrations, join us for a Free Christmas Carol Concert on Thursday 18th December (6–7.30pm) at the Old Dojo Hall in New Park Centre, Chichester.
This festive fundraising event will feature a heartwarming programme of Christmas carols and seasonal songs performed by the Chichester Community Choir. Now in its fifth year, under the direction of Choir Master Caroline Lawrence, the choir has become an important part of local life, bringing people together through the joy of singing.
“The group has been rehearsing for months in preparation for this special night. We’re so excited to share this wonderful mix of music,” says Caroline Lawrence.
“I’m so proud of how we’re already sounding and can’t wait to perform for our community. This concert will really help get everyone in the festive spirit, while supporting RAISE THE ROOF. As New Park is such an important hub in our city centre that support arts, creative and community.”
The event will also offer festive refreshments, and while entry is free, donations are encouraged to support the New Parks Centre's RAISE THE ROOF campaign, which aims to preserve and improve the community centre so it can continue to serve residents for generations to come.
As Allison McDonald-Hughes, Manager of the New Parks Community Centre, explains:
“We’re delighted that such a well-regarded choir in our community has volunteered to host this special evening. It’s a wonderful way to come together, celebrate the season, and support a cause that means so much to us all.”
Bring your family, invite your friends, and enjoy an evening filled with music, community, and Christmas spirit.
