Community Comes Out in Full Swing to Raise £1,004 for New Park Centre
Chichester Lindy Hoppers have helped raise £1,004 for New Park Centre’s RAISE THE ROOF campaign following a fantastic afternoon of dancing, tea, cake and community spirit.
The fundraising Tea Dance brought dancers, supporters and spectators together at the Centre, which is home to the popular Chichester Lindy Hoppers group.
The group chose to support the campaign because of their long-standing relationship with New Park Centre. They value its central location, reasonable room hire rates and, importantly, the friendly and supportive team.
“We wanted to do something to support a venue that means a lot to our group,” said Ellie from Chichester Lindy Hoppers. “It was wonderful to raise money while having such a fantastic afternoon and we’re absolutely delighted with the £1,004 raised.”
Allison McDonald-Hughes, New Park Centre Manager, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to the Chichester Lindy Hoppers for this wonderful fundraiser. All our hirers are such an important part of the Centre, and we value the relationships we have with the groups who use our spaces. It’s fantastic to see that support going both ways. Every penny raised helps us get closer to our RAISE THE ROOF target.”
The event was a great example of the vibrant community life at New Park Centre, where a diverse range of over 90 groups meet every week, from dance, fitness and creative activities to history, social and wellbeing groups.
With a range of flexible rooms available for hire and a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere, the Centre is at the heart of community life in Chichester.
